LWT Marks 50 Years of Service
Montgomery, Alabama– June 15, 2009
—LWT, a Montgomery-based marketing and interactive firm, is celebrating its 50th year in business by aiding a group of seven local non-profit organizations with their marketing efforts during LWT’s eighth annual CreateAthon event, September 24 & 25.
“We’ve approached CreateAthon differently this year as it is LWT’s 50th anniversary. We have reached out to area non-profit organizations that were important to Jay Leavell, the founding partner of LWT. Jay was very involved in the community and we felt helping groups that were passions of his would be a fitting tribute to his memory”, said Jim Leonard, a partner in LWT.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, September 24th through Friday, September 25th, is a 24-hour effort that will provide free strategic marketing planning, creative and interactive development services to area non-profit organizations. The organizations selected as CreateAthon 2009 clients are: Alabama Council of the American Institute of Architects – Montgomery Chapter, the Montgomery Art Guild, American Cancer Society, The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, First United Methodist Church Montgomery, Montgomery Business Committee for the Arts and Landmarks Foundation.
“During this 24-hour period, we’ll work on projects ranging from Web development to branding to strategic marketing planning to brochure development.” said David Allred, an LWT partner. “It will be worth the lost revenue and sleep to provide these services to area organizations who normally couldn’t afford them,” he continued.
